What is "TheFoodTraveller.com"?

This site started as an attempt at making a shared archive of recipes. The idea came as a pratical solution to a common problem. We needed a fast way for distributing recipes, ingredients infos, restaurant tips, etc. with friends living miles away. A repository of impressions about places and food, which we could share. And above all a way to stop all friends to keep asking about recipes during and after any lunch or dinner we organized. In a nutshell, this site exists to make our life easier!
Since then, TheFoodTraveller is slowly evolving into an internet cooking and traveling reference service composed by a blog, photography and (in the future) electronics books ... all only on food and related traveling.

Who is "The Food Traveller"?

My name is Francesco and I am not a chef. I am actually an electrical engineer and an enthusiast cooking person. I did not attend any chef training school, but I was taught by my mother, just like she was taught by hers before me, and so on. The recipe you see here are either the result of some experiment or are part of my family recipe books or are taken (with reference) from other sources. Feel free to try and modify each of them ... but please let me know! I would be curious to try out your vaiant as well.

Cooks "The Food Traveller" alone?

Nope. In fact, most dishes on the blog are cooked by Francesco, but quite a few are by Elke ... his soon-to-be wife. Elke is Belgian and she is the source and chef for most belgian recipes on the blog ... I still take the photos in those cases!! As for traveling ... it is always together!

Is it "traveler" or "traveller"?

Apparently, both. Therefore, we chose the one which seems wrong for fun.
