Meme October 2007
1) I love wine as much as food. However, I have to admit I am a shame for my own country. Yes, Italian born ... but I started drinking and appreciating wine when I move to the Netherlands!! A country that for wine has really nothing!
2) I came to the Netherlands first as a student intern at Philips (in the PSV town). When I left I declared to everybody, including people at Philips, that the country was boring and disgusting, and that I would have never ever returned. Adding that Philips was a waste of my time and talent. I moved to the Netherlands the year (in 2000) after :-p ... and to Philips at the same time :-p. I still work there right now ... as they all say, every time Francesco says “I will never ...”, it actually happens.
3) I consider Napoli my hometown, but I grew up in Taranto. If I could, I would move back to London ... not Italy.
4) I belong to the class of people who works works and works .... and feels kind of afraid of soon being discovered to be a fraud. It is not a small class, as testified from the last interview to Michelle Pfeiffer on Repubblica ... I might be the most unknown thought!
5) I am stubborn. I keep saying the same thing even when I realize I am wrong. Why it is so difficult to admit to be wrong??? I can see all ‘female’ heads thinking ... typically a man!
6) I got drunk for the first time (almost the only time even) the day before the Maturita’ ... before the Maths writing test to be exact. It took me about 10 beers and a love disillusion. I still did well :-) and got over my hangover swimming the day after.
7) I am a gadget freak. And I mean kitchen gadget and electronics gadget. There is almost no day I do not think of buying one ... luckily, I don’t.
8) And lastly ... I forgot in how many houses I lived in my life so far. 3 in Taranto. 1 in Pisa. 4 in London. 5 in the Netherlands. 1 in Belgium. That makes 14 .... that is almost an average of moving every 2.5 years and I am starting from when I was born !!!
